Valentine's everywhere..

 Don't you love holidays? I do..because He sends me Valentine's of His enduring love.

 We can see it ...in our grands sweet eyes..in a blue heron sitting in a pond.

 Celebrations don't have to be expensive
You can bake..or buy a box mix of fun

 A poster board or construction paper with Tiand a few ribbons twirl

 My Everything dough makes easy delicious shortbread Valentine cookies.

 A few Hershey kisses sealed in a jar with a ribbon bring love to someone.

Have a Valentine gathering..purchase a few macaroons (TJ Max's $3)..frozen from Costco..put on a pretty long tray..add some straws ..pink punch...enjoy.

Today ....well talk about flowers and greenery....
Simple ways to bring these into your home.
. Outside..*I love to cut greenery from my yard and fill a vase. I also use flowering bushes in the spring summer.
. Grocery...*many times a small bouquet can make a guest feel special.
. Faux flowers n greenery..thrift stores..Hobby Lobby..Target all sell these and just a gathering of color can brighten a corner.
As winter makes its days..sometimes a little gloomy...Try adding a few of these things to brighten your day.

The memories of summer and
The excitement of Fall

I remember sitting on the back porch
With my mom  snapping green beans...
Just making memories. I still love the times
Of doing these fun things with my
Grands.

End of summers garden bounty..
Filled with fresh herbs..veggies.
To enjoy salsas..fried green tomatoes..tomato
Basil pizza..and many herbs to dry and freeze for winter. 

My Dan loves quiche...when eggs are in abundance
And low in price...i Make several and freeze.
Such a quick breakfast and easy dinner or
A meal to give to others.  I make an easy
Crust and fill with eggs..cheese..and sausage
Or ham or herbs.

I LOVE flowers in the summer ..
There are times when ive enjoyed hanging baskets
And my flower garden....But there were times when we there weren't
Flowers available.. due to location or funds.
I saw I could use beautiful greenery or branches to fill a vase..
Sometimes I would fill from naturally grown snowball
Bushes or lilac trees. 

Change is in the air...our life isnt promised
To be perfect..but HE promises to
Walk with us. And circumstances can
Prevail..in our health..relationships
Finances...locations..but we can bring
His Grace and beauty to our corner
Of this world.

A time of no great schedules and warm days to enjoy

Farmers Markets..gardens bringing in corn on the cob..fresh green beans...my husband's favorite....green dried tomatoes.

Somedays.....we enjoy a special outdoor lunch or dinner at a quaint old home turned into an Italian bistro. The music is beautiful and you feel you've stepped back in time.

Here's a little summer recipe to enjoy

                          GREEN FRIED TOMATOES

1 large green tomato sliced med thickness

Panko crumbs *I like Italian

Egg whipped

3 tbls olive oil

Dip each slice in egg..then crumb

Brown on each side few mins

*sometimes I omit egg 

JANUARY. ...NEW DAYS

Easy to say ..but its not always easy to do...each day? Because....everyday brings its own challenges......But you know what?.....We can always try. We can "Do the next thing"

Heres a few simple things Ive learned over the years....to bring January New Days " in.
1. Be thankful for something each day..something
2. Clear out 100 things you dont need.  Youll be surprised .
3. Read 1 Psalm or  Proverb a day
4. Make a list of items to be done..buy a blank notebook
5. Bring beauty around you♡   Light a candle..nice music..
6. Let go of being perfect...Be best to yourself
7. Make meal list if needed. Make it simple.
8. Be around encouraging people..things
9. Pray for others..encourage folks
10. Celebrate the small things given

 I love the change of seasons..new beginnings..God gives us each day
A breath of air..a step to make..words to encourage others

FEBRUARY ♡♡♡

 Welcome February and all the love it entells....

 We are enjoying 20 inches of snow...but the warmth of being inside with a pot of soup on makes it bearable.

 I love to celebrate holidays and do it on a budget. I purchased a bright pink poster board and my grandgirls and I cut out big hearts for the windows♡ lace doilies. .and a banner too!

I then went all around the house looking for pink..yellow..or red items.. I used these items to bring a touch of Valentines to a room

Banners on the fireplace..candles...whisps of flowers in yellow

 Then...desserts...easy too...Brownies filled with pink icing made of marshmellow fluff..coolwhip..and a few drops of fun red food coloring

 I also bring out small boxes found on clearance or thrift shoos

Whatever..i do i make it simple...make it fun..enjoy♡
