DECORATING FOR SPRING......OUTSIDE BEAUTY

Now that the weather is beginning to turn warmer I begin to think of decorating outside.

Sounds funny to decorate outside but these days we tend to work ourselves out into our back decks; patios; and yards. I can remember over 40 years ago how my parents would have a few lawn chairs and sit them together in the yard under a shade tree and that was a place to talk and enjoy the outdoors. Then my dad had a " patio poured" and he put a nice little table and chairs with and umbrella; a small running fountain; and beautiful red geraniums surrounding them in a nice flower bed. Later he would add a grill where many summer meals began.



I think you can make a special place for your outdoor spot if you make a plan for what you will use this spot for. If you have a large deck or patio then the area can be filled with lawn furniture; flowers; an eating area; and grill to cook with. If you have a small area then maybe just a few items will be needed to complete the area.



Here are a few ideas that might be used to make that special outside room a place of your own.:

1. Make a flowerbed using your favorite flowers or greenery. Examples might be "tall snapdragons in beautiful bright colors. Green fluffy host as that seem to grow themselves.

2. Purchase some large pots and fill with good soil . Fill with red or pink geraniums and some nice soft filler for a full pot.

3. Use some outdoor furniture or a nice table and chairs with an umbrella to eat outdoors.

4. Hang some wind chimes for a quiet comfortable time.

5. Add a grill; gas or charcoal.

6. Purchase a few decorative items.

7. A fountain can be so soothing and looks nice with flowers.

8. Put a couple of old fashion lawn chairs under a beautiful tree. See above "weeping cherry tree"

9. Add some nice soothing music to your meal

10. Use candles in the evening in old mason jars hanging or candles on the tables.
