MY DAD AND MY FATHER IN LAW WHO BOTH WENT
TO HEAVEN JUST A FEW YEARS AGO.........I WANT TO
REMEMBER.....AND BE THANKFUL FOR THE LIFE GIVEN
AND FOR THEIR HARD WORK AND PROVISIONS AND LAUGHTER.....
FATHERS DAY IS SIMPLY A TIME TO BE THANKFUL
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN A FATHER IN OUR
LIVES............MAYBE YOU DONT HAVE A FATHER
LIVING BUT THEIR ARE MANY A LONELY ONES
IN A NURSING HOME WHO WOULD ENJOY A
QUICK HELLO AND MAYBE A SMALL GIFT..............
I PLAN ON SPOILING MY "HUSBAND" FATHER
ON FATHERS DAY...........I ALWAYS START
WITH A HOT CUP OF COFFEE EARLY IN
THE MORNING............
THEN A HEALTHY BREAKFAST (MAYBE SOME WARM
OATS WITH DRIED CRANBERRIES AND NUTS)....
SHHHH...... I THINK HE MIGHT PREFER "BISCUITS AND
GRAVY FOR A TREAT!!!!"..........................
IN THE AFTERNOON, WE MIGHT GRILL OUT
HAMBURGERS WITH THE FIXINS...........
OR MAKE SOME DELICIOUS TASTING
RIBS TO ENJOY.................

WHATEVER, YOU DO MAKE IT A CELEBRATION TO SAY THANK YOU...........
TO OUR FATHERS...............

NIMAN RANCH SPARERIBS..........

1 rack(s) (2 1/2-pound) Niman Ranch spareribs
1 bottle(s) (12-ounce) chili sauce
1/4 cup(s) cider vinegar
2 tablespoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon(s) honey mustard
1 tablespoon(s) honey
1/2 teaspoon(s) ground celery seed
1/2 teaspoon(s) coarsely ground black pepper
1 clove(s) garlic, minced

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cook the ribs: Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Place the spareribs on a large baking pan and roast until the meat is cooked -- about 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the sauce: Bring the remaining ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 5 minutes. Transfer the sauce to a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Barbecue the ribs: Heat grill to medium high. Grill the ribs for 15 minutes. Divide the sauce between two small bowls and set one aside. Using a brush, liberally coat the ribs with half of the sauce from one bowl and grill for 10 more minutes, basting one more time midway through grilling. Remove the ribs from the grill and serve warm with the reserved sauce.
